Aromas of strawberry, cinnamon bark, earth, and forest floor. On the palate strawberry, cherry and clove with a pleasing brightness. A delicious, medium-bodied wine. The main body of the wine comes from a field selection named for Joseph Swan, who brought in the original budwood from Burgundy. Although finicky even by Pinot standards, Swan can produce mouthwatering wines that showcase terroir and combine fruit, undergrowth (“sousbois”) and spice in a unique way among Pinot grapes.
