More advanced, deep dried fruit character, smoky, dried black raspberries pepper, actually quite peppery with ground spice notes, a touch of turmeric, and the definite beginnings of bottle bouquet. The tannins are still a bit drying but this is fresh and crisp with bright acids offering good balance. The round fruit combines the elements of age; tobacco, cedar, and leather, with earthy, spicy red berry fruit. This is pretty much at peak and fairly complex, if a bit rustic and shows lovely layered fruit on the finish. 91pts
