Discovered this one at Lupa. Many of the characteristics we love, deep, rich stone fruit, cherry. A little lighter and shorter on the pallet than our favorites.
Heaven in a glass! Smoke, leather, and oak giving way gradually to rich Umbrian flavors - fig and truffle, wild boar and sundried tomato. Quite tannic but profound and resonant. This is a wine that you don't forget, and it's certainly worth the price for an occasion.
