Wine Tasting Notes This wine offers aromas of violets, spice and black cherry with hints of vanilla. The medium-bodied palate includes rich flavors of dark fruits plum, black cherry. The mid-palate presents dark fruit flavors and fine tannins leading to a finish of dark fruit and spice with a hint of oak. A by Acacia Pinot Noir is the perfect choice for casual dinners with friends. Enjoy it with cedar-planked salmon, roasted chicken or wild mushroom risotto.
I had the pleasure of trying this wine at Arturo's restaurant in Atlantic City, NJ. I have always found great pleasure in a nice red blend, especially those containing a decent percent of the Mouvedre variety. I absolutely loved it and it was very smooth..a great wine for someone who enjoys good red but doesn't have deep pockets for top-notch wines like Opus by Mondavi and Rothschild.

This held true for me as being a rhone style wine. Smooth to the palate, but not a whole lot going on here.
Bought a few bottles at Costco's in Houston for a dinner party where we had wild game red meats and it was great, many folks thought it was a higher priced Pinot.
The bouquet is wonderful but it does not carry through in the taste. That said, it is still a well balanced, satisfying wine for the price.

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2007 A by Acacia Red Blend. This Syrah based Rhône-style blend is well-balanced and layered with aromas of rich dark cherry, plum and raspberry. Deep, fruit flavors of cherry and ripe plum are framed by velvety tannins. Grenache adds a hint of soft, bright red raspberries and Mouvèdre infuses the blend with spice and a bit of mocha. A splash of Viognier lifts the aromas and completes this richly textured blend. - Winery
