External Reviews for Acacia Pinot Noir Carneros Premier
Deep, dark, and dense, with flavors of well-ripened plums, blackberries and peach flesh braced by caramelized tints from French barrel char. Fruit gives way to spice: mace, clove and cinnamon.
Smooth and elegant, striking a nice balance between ripe fruit and sweet oak flavors. Soft cherry, plum and spices notes add to the wines overall complexity. Serve with salmon, lamb or anything grilled.
The soft, mainstream 1997 Pinot Noir should have many admirers. Although not concentrated it emphasizes spice, black cherry fruit, and subtle oak. Medium-bodied, fleshy, and drinkable over the next 1-3 years.
Reduced crushed berry and leafy and stemmy aromas lead to a ripe, rich, full-bodied wine. with complex spicy cherry, blackberry and plum flavors that are deliciously deep and seductive. Long silky tannins. Drink now through 2007.
Delicious Pinot, rich and spicy, with supple black cherry and blackbery, sharply focused, smooth and polished. Drink now through 2006.
Fresh, crisp and snappy, with a grapey edge to the cherry and berry notes. Best now to 2001.
This is a tangy, tart, plum, cherry, meineral-scented and flavored wine with light to medium body and a good earthiness. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
