Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Ruby colored. Nose with notes of tobacco, cherry, currant. Silky mouthfeel, great smooth midpalate with nice vanilla on finish. Very complex and gets better the long it is open. Bought this wine in 05 and really glad I held it for a few years. 90+ points

Ok, not big into Pinot, but had a few glasses of this and was impressed. Very nice, a Pinot with a backbone and complexity. May need to reconsider my take on Pinot.

Soft, long and smooth. French Oak (vanilla) dominates the spice structure and allows the sweeter red fruits to shine: ripe cherry, strawberry. Red rose petal.
