Abrente Napa Valley Albarino 2013

Member Review by EMark:

Fairly fruity and floral nose--melon and fruit blossoms--makes me think a bit of Viognier or something like that. Not terribly flavorful entry. It's not until the wine moves to mid-palate/tongue that I first detect some mineral flavors and then various fruit flavors--melon, peach--and then some serious tartness. A very light wine that is very refreshing but there is significant acid that might put some people off. US$22.00 from the winery's mailing list.

Bedrock Wine Co.:
Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests.
