Seemed almost more like a Pinot Noir than a cab. Very laid back, not overpowering, yet strong enough to hold up to a meal. Nice flavors. Read more

Full of fruit flavors, smooth finish. Not overly heavy on tannins.

One of the best Cabs I've tried. I had a bottle of it at the winery this year and think it will continue to get better each year. I'm buying 10 bottles!

Abeja is the new project from the former winemaker of Canoe Ridge and Acacia, John Abbott. The cépage this year has a tiny bit of Merlot-4%--and the rest is Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a big, rich wine coming from a great vintage in Washington. The nose has ripe raspberry and plum aromas seasoned with sweet oak. The palate is broad and rich. The finish has big tannins balanced by impressive acidity.
