Exceptionally deep colour in this wine made by Australians Nerida Abbott and Nigel Sneyd. Sweet chestnut flavours. Spicy nose definitely reminiscent of Barossa Shiraz. No pain at all. Nicely managed tannins and sufficient acidity. Very slightly dead at the end but capable of giving great pleasure to non-purists (those who insist that their Languedoc wines should taste 100 per cent Languedocien should avoid it).
