AGEING: 12 months in mixed casks of French and American oak. DES. ORIGIN: Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León. GRAPE VARIETIES: * 60% Tempranillo * 40% Cabernet Sauvignon ALCOHOL VOLUME: 13 % SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14-16 ºC DESCRIPTION: Intense black cherry red. Very intense nose, roast aroma with hints of clove, liquorice and coffee. Slight vanilla taste. A smooth attack, with structure and blended tannins. Incredibly aromatic on the palate, expressive and fresh. In the mouth it offers three times the intensity than it does in the nose. Easy and nice finish. A very delicate and pleasant wine. GASTRONOMY: Ideal with Iberian cold meats and loin carpaccio with non-oily fish and free-range poultry… WINEMAKING PROCESS: The grapes come from soils that are predominantly calcareous, with parts that are sandy with pebbles. This wine combines musts from various types of quite prolonged maceration, and also from cold pre-fermentation macerations. The wine has spent twelve months in new oak barrels to bring out the tannins and emphasise its light touches of vanilla.
Dep reddish purple. The nose show's green and black pepper, with some smokey chocolate, and deep red cherry fruit. Fine tannins in the mouth with a strong acidity at first that gives way to rich layered flavors of black pepper, anise, wood and chocolate. As it opens this wine is all fruit and spice, rich cherries, blackberries and more. 3.5/5 [NR]
Dark maroon in color. The nose is spicey with some green pepper, light vanilla and red fruits. Medium acidity with medium weight tannins. Green pepper from the cabernet sauvignon comes though with cherry flavors. Simple and light the structure is soft and balanced though not a heavily fruit forward wine. 3/5 [NR]
60% Tempranillo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12 months in barrel Dark ruby color that has a beautiful consistency reminding me of both a texture and color that would be found in a royal chamber. On the nose, strong notes of coffee, plumes and dark cherry come forth with a slight vegetable or forest aroma in the background. Very light body and structure with medium acidity. On the palate, a strong blackcurrent flavor followed by hints of vanilla and charred wood. Overall, a very nice well structured wine.
A go to value that pairs well with food. Bright in color with a mix of fruit and spice on the nose. The fruit is very subdued in the taste, which is smooth and highly enjoyable.
