We are thrilled that vintage 2005, noteworthy for a remarkably even ripening period, produced Cabernet franc grapes of optimal quality and marks the return of this varietal bottling to our portfolio. Our estate Fault Line Vineyards in the Umpqua and Pheasant Hill Vineyard in the Rogue were the source of the black currant, blueberry, plum, mineral, and leafy mint aromas and flavors. Boldly expressive yet finely balanced, we anticipate this wine’s intense fruit and rich finish to develop additional refinement and complexity over the next three to five years with proper cellaring. Try pairing this wine with pork, ricotta, and crimini-stuffed dumplings atop teriyaki-glazed spinach.
