Light, bright red. High-pitched strawberry and rose scents show good clarity and pick up spiciness with air. Clean and brisk, in the style of the vintage, but a modicum of sweetness gives the red fruit flavors a sense of depth. Closes tangy and slightly firm, with good cut and length.

OregonA to Z Oregon Pinot Gris is a delightful red wine from the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2002, A to Z Wineworks is Oregon's fastest growing winery. Their business model is simple: to produce and market Oregon's best wine values by concentrating on their core competencies of acquisition, blending and marketing. We especially appreciate the company's slogan, "Aristocratic Wines at Democratic Prices!" This 2011 Pinot Noir was ranked in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2013!

Winemaker's Notes:

Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 89 points by Wine Spectator: Light and refreshing, open-textured and inviting, offering raspberry, tea leaf and spice flavors that linger delicately. Drink now. Fresh aromas of lush forest berries and cherries lead, followed by more savory aromatics of tobacco, smoke, game, clean earth and flint. In the mouth, concentrated red and blue fruits grows in complexity on the mid-palate with ripe, dense tannins perfectly supported by the weight of the fruit.
