A J Adam 2002er Dhroner Riesling QbA. AP 2 594 581 001 03, 11.5 pabv.Theise/Skurnik; purchased in the wilds of suburban Maryland during a trip to DC; paid more than I should for it given taxes in Montgomery County. However:Positive green, almost Chablis-like color, with scents of yellow fruit and minerals and even a touch of sea air. Crisp and tending to modify toward petrol at present; very alive with wet rocks and waterside airs. Fine complexity; completely dry, and wonderful with the Quebecois Morbier and Epoisses I bought at Morgan and York in Ann Arbor earlier this week. Very satisfying with the cheeses; plenty of synergies there. Company loved it. It was my improvisation for the Chablis I was looking for to serve with the Epoisses.
