An outstanding expression of just how good German Pinot Noir can be. Soft red fruit, like cherry, stands out among notes of earth and sweet spices. Medium-bodied, with soft, very light tannins and a long, pretty finish. I love this red with a big plate of charcuterie, or perhaps a roasted chicken with butternut squash.
