919 2009 Tempranillo is a wine that excites the Spanish! The 2009 vintage made very savoury and elegant wines after a period of prolonged drought. This complex wine has violet, dark cherry, tobacco, and cinnamon aromas with spicy cinnamon, chocolate and cherry flavours and a touch of vanillin oak. Match 919 2009 Tempranillo with fine grained meats such as lamb or goat, duck with sour cherry sauce, spicy pork or quail with Greek herbs. Cellar to 8 years. 4 stars, WineState Magazine 2011
