Very typical peppery, jammy, black berry and spice nose, clearly defined. Big entry with a decent amount of RS up front turning deep and chewy with pretty intense flavors of blackberry, blueberry and backing spice on the mid-palate. A lot of wine for the money if a touch simple but well balanced and a solid value. Finishes with some lingering unintegrated acid. 87pts

Wow! Very herbacious and spicy cardemon to start with. Almost too dificult to drink. Better the next day and was wonderful the 3rd. day. Definately decant.

Carmelized sugar and smoky fig aroma. Smoky with bacon flavors. Medium tannins.

Intense berry jam aromas over hints of mint and tar leads to a sweet concentration of black current flavors, bright acidity, smooth tannins and eucalyptus on the finish.

If you like a big zin, you'll love this (especially for the price). It is a bit simple but there is a good jammy, spicy taste. This will not get lost with your food like some other reds.
