337 Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi 2008
Named for the French vine clone, 337 is an alluring expression of a California Cabernet Sauvignon with prestigious Bordeaux roots. The vines are cultivated for structure and flavor in the cobblestones of Lodi’s Clay Station Vineyard, making a wine that exudes seductive aromas of mocha and dark cherry. An explosion of spice and blackberry unwinds to a velvety, luscious finish.
Quite the complex nose for a wine of this price point- cassis, cranberry, chocolate, a bit of a vegetal note, and a touch of heat at the end. Cassis, blackberry and chocolate on the initial attack followed by a full midpalate, though the finish is a bit short and acidic. All in all one of the better supermarket wines at this price.
Smooth berry chocolate taste.
@chitownwineguy I like the drinkability and smooth tannins. Definitely doesn't have the concentration and is less serious, but a great mid-week wine for $13.00.

Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. 337 delivers concentrated flavors that ignite the senses. The 337 clone is an early ripening grape with small berry clusters that deliver a bold, but luscious wine with spice and blackberry. The 337
