What to Expect
Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

From our La Finca Estate, in the Apalta Valley, The scarcest of our ALPHA line, it shows how promising the Apalta Valley slopes are. Yield is very low, only 6 tons per hectare. It has been aged in French oak for one year and had only one soft filtering. Aurelio has added 7% of Cabernet Sauvignon and a 3% of Viognier to the final blend. Of intense ruby red color, it has a great aroma with floral, tobacco and leathery notes. Strong and full bodied to the palate, with soft and mature tannins. A very long, elegant and satisfying after taste. A superb Syrah. Syrah 90% + Cabernet Sauvignon 7% + Viognier 3% Ruby-red. read more...
