What to Expect

Corvina is one of the classic grapes of the Veneto region of Italy. It is usually the predominant grape in the blends used for Bardolino and Valpolicella. Corvina tends to produce lightly-colored wines with high acidity and moderate tannins featuring flavors that recall dark berries with hints of bitter almond. Corvina's thick skins lends the grape to rasining without rot. This technique is used to produce richer and dessert styled wines such as Amarone and Recioto.

Blend: 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella and 10% Sangiovese Deep ruby-red in color with a complex nose of dried fruit and licorice, Ripassa represents one of the most important milestones in Zenato's history. The wine offers rich aromas of blackberry jam, currant, chocolate, coffee and tar that linger on the palate and are sustained by a round and structured body. Recommended with grilled meat dishes, Ripassa is excellent with rabbit casserole.

A great buy!!! Ripe black cherries over a softly delivered richness.

Wine Tasting NotesDeep ruby red, it offers rich, elegant, lingering scents; it is crisp and dry in the mouth, well structured, with a lovely, velvety texture.

Always killer. Super juicy on the frontend, fading into a nice, dry finish. Rich strawberry. It has rocked it with pasta just as easily as it rocked it with Batali pizza. Most recently had the '04.
