- Peter Cargasacchi is one of the most respected growers in Santa Barbara, with a pair of vineyards bearing his name. Cargasacchi-Jalama is located just outside the Sta. Rita Hills appellation and is planted entirely to Dijon 114 and 115 as well Mt. Eden clones. Lowman selects about 60% Dijon 115 and the remainder is Mt. Eden from this site. Production is 400 cases. Shows a nose of intense briary spice, carbon and cola. The palate has bright acidity to match the elegant flavor profile with a little earthy loam on finish. There is plenty of room to grow here.
