- "The nose on the 2005 is outstanding, as it offers up notes of plums, red cherries, raw cocoa, a fine base of soil and a generous framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is fullbodied, balanced and long, with a beautiful core of fruit, excellent reserve, and a very long, complex finish that closes with fine-grained tannins and plenty of soil. Most impressive and built to unfold slowly and brilliantly. 2017-2060...93-95." John Gilman 3/07
