Silver Oak Cabernet Alexander Valley 2004

I don't know about this one.... I liken it to the Ford Explorer of Cabernet Sauvignon... Tons of following, but is it really as good as people think?

This is the first Silver Oak I've tried, and I loved it. The nose was so complex and interesting that it really built the anticipation. The kind of wine you want to drink every day for a month to learn more about it. If only I could afford to do that....

A good price for an upmarket Restuarant anyway. My friend and myself( both Bordeaux fanatics) managed 3 bottles between us,his wife having 1 glass, my wife ,the nominated driver 0. Superb nose ,mellow on the palate with a great finish. Pity we couldn't take a few cases back home to Ireland.
