Pretty on the nose with light notes of iris, lime pith and some heather honey toes. Medium bodied and while this is lightly sweet its also light and elegant. I would like to see a little more acidity here, but this does have a nice texture as it is and delivers some gentle jasmine, apricot and crab apple flavors. The finish is nicely clean and fresh with a hint of balancing bitterness and surprising length. 86pts

14 Hands Riesling features the fresh spring aromas of apple blossom and tangerine with a hint of wet stone. Flavors of fresh garden peaches and Granny Smith apples fill the palette with a racing acidity and a juicy and lively finish. This Riesling would pair great with a spicy Asian dish, or even before dinner.

Winemaker's Notes:

Fruit was sourced from vineyards throughout Washington state including the Horse Heaven Hills, Yakima Valley, Wahluke Slope and other parts of the Columbia Valley.Riesling fruit was fed directly into membrane presses, where the juice was quickly separated from the skins and seeds. After pressing, the juice cold settled for 2 days.e clean juice was then inoculated with a number of yeast strains to initiate 20-30 day fermentations.Cool temperatures throughout the winemaking process accentuated the naturally clean, fruity character.
