06 Malbec Angel Paulucci Vyd la Postapuerto Argentine Puerto Ancona S.a 2008
'Named an' 'excellent value ' ' by The Wine Advocate and receiving 90 pts from Wine Spectator ' this delicious Malbec delivers aromas of spice box mineral and black cherry leading to a medium-bodied elegant wine with savory spicy flavors good depth and balance and a lengthy pure finish.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Mary & Joyce polished off this bottle in a couple hours while discussing the upcoming wedding on a Saturday evening. They both said it was lovely. I tasted only on the initial pour and have nothing to add. It was really soft...not at all harsh said Mary.
Pungent cinnamon is the welcome surprise in the bouquet, but the wine is lean, making the lengthy finish something of a shocker. (AV 85, http://argovino.com/?p=498)

The 2008 Malbec Angel Paulucci Vineyard spent 12 months in 20% new French oak. It is a glass-coating opaque purple with a pleasing perfume of cedar, spice box, violets, and black cherry. Structured in the mouth, it is balanced by plenty of succulent fruit. Drink it over the next 4–5 years.

Very flattering, with a lush core of blueberry, fig sauce and raspberry fruit that glides through the spice-tinged finish. This has a nice polished feel. Drink now.
Bright medium ruby. Ripe, slightly reduced aromas of plum and pepper. Sweet, silky and very ripe, with a distinctly chocolatey character. Not as complex as the Pizzella malbec but boasts sound vinosity and more obvious sweetness. Finishes with dusty, slightly drying tannins. This is from old, low-yielding vines in a warm site southeast of Agrelo, while the Angel Paulucci is from the cooler La Consulta area.
