Deep ruby color. Big, dense, jammy aromas of ripe plums and black cherry. Plush, elegant, full, ripe-fruit flavors framed with spicy oak and subtle youthful tannins. The wine is fleshy and full, with gobs of flavor.

Firm in structure, with tight, cedary currant, earth and cherry notes, turning dry. A style that will appeal to left-bank Bordeaux lovers Drink now through 2006.

We sourced our Napa Valley Merlot from premium sites in the heart of Napa Valleyfrom Carneros to Calistoga. This wine has bright ruby color, aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and raspberry, and hints of toasty oak from barrel aging that all carry over the long, silky finish.

Quite tannic, but that can't stop the layers of licorice, blackberry, herb and mint that blend nicely through the moderate finish. Needs some time to settle down and soften up; best from 2001 through 2005.

Soft and easy, with berry, plum, tobacco and sage flavors and supple tannins. Acidity is low. This is a dry, pleasant wine of no special complexity, but fun to drink.

Estate-grown grapes from California's Napa Valley are aged in small oak barrels, resulting in a wine laden with black cherry and currant nuances and hints of tobacco overlaying velvety tannins.
