Zinfandel

Name of varietal: Zinfandel

Common synonyms: Primitivo, Crljenak Kaštelanski (Croatia, believed to be its root), White Zinfandel, Zin, Blush, Zinfendal

Zinfandel on Snooth

  • Your tasting comments are fine, Al, as long as they are honest--and I know ... ... ... we're returning to Zinfandel ground zero. If I was the type to buy cases of a single "cellar defender," this one might head the list.  Just what a Zinfandel should be--easy drinking and ready to go with just about any backyard grilled dinner (we're having s... • SAVED California 2013

    Snoothrank:

Savory mineral notes on the nose with a fiery heat and a rich cream. On the palate there's a lot more fruit, with red currant, cherry and cranberry flavors, a nice spice and a bit of earthiness, some light menthol and a dark chocolate finish. Read More
