  • Burgenland is a region in what is present-day Austria. It's actually a place in Austria where they grow a lot of red grapes. However, there is a large shallow lake called Neusiedlersee which causes morning mist, promoting the growth of botrytis on the grapes, and consequently... Read more

  • Feiler-Artinger Quartett Spatlese 2007

    Snoothrank: Starting at $18.99

Sweet mineral nose. Tart acidic almost sparkling front end. Super sweet and balanced with thick honey but not cloying. Amazing balance.

  • Alois Kracher Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese No 8 2005

    Snoothrank:

The spirit of the late Alois Kracher lives on with this tropical honeyed peach, apricot & candied apple with a profound perfumed style. The rich and weighty palate is gorgeously balanced and delicous.

  • Weingut Hauser Welschriesling 2008

    Snoothrank:

An oily chemical nose, very viscous. Slightly chalky, particularly on the finish. Notes of quince, with a tart crisp finish.

  • Weingut Leo Hillinger Hillinger Welschriesling 2006

    Snoothrank:

Not sure I'd buy this again, but it's certainly not bad. Happened to pair over the course of the evening with french bread, a charcuterie plate, gouda, and a salad of boston lettuce with green zebra tomatoes, avocado, and an olive oil & salt dressing. The wine stood up to all of the... Read more
