Welschriesling on Snooth
The spirit of the late Alois Kracher lives on with this tropical honeyed peach, apricot & candied apple with a profound perfumed style. The rich and weighty palate is gorgeously balanced and delicous.
An oily chemical nose, very viscous. Slightly chalky, particularly on the finish. Notes of quince, with a tart crisp finish.
CO2 visible, fresh, fruity, lemon, lime flavors, tingling acidity, light in alcohol
Rich, sweet nose. The botrytis is clear, but not overpowering. Its very rich and sweet, and although there's a lot of acid, i dont think it stands up to the sugar, so it came across a little flabby. Nice finish on green...
Light botrytis on the nose with smoky apricot tones. In the mouth this is incredibly sweet and viscous but at the same time there is more than enough acidity to wash through the finish so this doesn't realy get cloying....

Not sure I'd buy this again, but it's certainly not bad. Happened to pair over the course of the evening with french bread, a charcuterie plate, gouda, and a salad of boston lettuce with green zebra tomatoes, avocado, and...
Eric's note is right on the spot for me. This is a much superior value than many higher priced sauternes, tokaji and the like. knocks you off your feet. [95]
