Tried something new at a restaurant we've always been meaning to go to. Sabur ... The wine was a Macedonian Vranec. One of the best food pairings I've had in a while. The server said it goes well with lamb because that's all they eat in Macedonia! New varietal and new region for me.... Read more

This is my first wine from Macedonia! Deep purple hue with a surprisingly crisp, light bodied taste. Crisp red fruit, strawberry and cherry. First thought was like a Zinfandel, but lighter. Pairs well with lamb - our server said "That's because they only eat lamb in Macedonia"
