  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

We had this during the Virtual tasting along with a dessert potluck of Apple crisp, Strawberry nutella crepes, French silk chocolate pie, fresh baked muffins etc. Great fun!I learnt my lesson from the Vau, pouring only enough to taste. This was transparent brown and a smell of rum! It actually reminds me of my favorite Puerto Rican Rum, Ron del ... Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

Amazing complexity here. Aroma was sweet, with raisins, and a fresh glazed donut kind of thing. Sweet, dried fruits on the palate. Finish explodes with roasted walnuts. Great with intense cheeses and even works with dark chocolate. Lovely wine. Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

So much going on. Hints of plum and other fruits. Caramel or honey on the tongue. Then the finish; it takes you into another dimension and literally goes on and on. Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

Nuts, wood, and tobacco aroma, less fruit than the 10-year. The mouth is quite syrupy, same level of sweetness, less bite on the finish. Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

Tasted this port during the Porto Virtual Tasting- I found this port strong and somewhat sweet at the same time. I can see this pairing well with a classic cheese plate and some fruit. (I'm not much of port fan which is why i gave it a low review) Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

A very tasty Tawny Porto, in the glass youll find pale amber inviting the first slurp. Overall this wine has brilliant complexity. From the moment it makes its first splash down in the glass, my nose is hit with hints of dried mandarin oranges, candied walnuts and freshly roasted almonds dipped in toffee. After my first slurp, bang honeyed fruit... Read More

  • Sandeman Port Blend Porto 20 Year Old Tawny NV

    Snoothrank:

Pours a really nice orangish amber color. The nose has plenty of burnt caramel, dried peaches and nectarines and honey. Starts off with a lot of dried fruits like nectarines and peaches. In the middle, lots of sweet honey and sweet sugary caramel mix with the dried fuirt. Finishes just like the middle with a hint of roasted nuts added in as ... Read More

  • Taylor Fladgate Port 10 Year Tawny Porto NV

    Snoothrank:

One of the better 10 year Tawny's I have tasted. Nice dark fruits of raisin, plums, cherries along with some orange peels. Low in tannins with ample acidity. Definitely a nice Tawny and at a really nice price point. Read More
