Read moreI LOVE this wine. It is floral, fruity, but not too sweet. Nothing like I have every had. A local retailer was going through a reset and had eliminated it's wine stewardship so it had to do away with any wine that the wine steward had brought in and that was not on the current reset. They marked it all 50% off!!! The Ironstone Obsession was one that was recommended to me by one of the wine vendors that was eagerly shopping thru the carts full of marked down wine. I bought one bottle, drunk it that nite and fell in love. I went back in hopes for more and at $3.40 a bottle needless to say I bought everything they had and would have bought more if they had it...    (hide)

  I would start with some $10 -$13 whites such as Chenin Blanc (Calif or ... or Germany). The Symphony grape is a good alternative too (Ironstone makes one). For reds, skip the Lambrusco and start with a light Pinot Noir that's fruity maybe even some Merlots. Don't start so low at... For reds, skip the Lambrusco and start with a light Pinot Noir that's fruity maybe even some Merlots.   My first Symphony based wine. extremely aromatic. it smells like those lemon-lime candies at granny's house that no one ever touched. tropical fruit all over this stuff. pomelo, starfruit, and guava. pairs great with microwave popcorn. great qpr.

  Stopped by this winery due to fond memories of Martz (it' predecessor). Long story short, I ended up walking out with a couple of mixed cases. Ir is ALL good.
