  • Castell-Castell Silvaner Trocken 2007

    Snoothrank:

a pleasant light wine. Not much bouquet but a nice eversoslightly fruity taste and after taste. I had it with tilapia sauted in a wok with chinese vegtables . It is a good match for this sort of food. $14 is a bit expensive for this wine. Read More

    Snoothrank:

We were quite pleasantly surprised by this blend of 4 white wines. Having a spicy pork vindaloo, we knew we would need a cooling wine to have with it. This worked great! Not a great wine, but certainly tasty and cooling. Read More

Soft with nice acidity. Had with some veggie sushi at Mio Sushi outside of Portland. I can definitely see this pairing well with something like spicy tuna. Decent value at $6 a glass. Read More

  • The Societys Vin Dalsace 2004

    Snoothrank:

This wasn't what I expected. I used it to make Greek Shrimp and I had to have it to taste. After the first glass it was not so bad but as far as cooking with it I was very disappointed. My better half enjoyed the the dish very much so I guess it is my opinion that I most likely would not venture to buy another bottle. Read More

    Snoothrank:

This is a great table wine for rich, spicy foods -- particularly Thai. It holds its own and is a strong complement to any hearty dish. And the price is certainly right, which always helps! 8) Read More

  • Have a '97 Sylvaner Eiswein. Thought given the high acid commonly found in this type of wine it might age a little. Might I have already missed the drinking window? Thanks in advance.e Read More
