Parentage of the grape: undetermined, likely native to Bordeaux and/or surroundings

  • You’ll know a glass of Bordeaux when you sniff it -- from the pencil ... ... blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, this is a classic Bordeaux white blend. Sauvignon Blanc in Bordeaux delivers a distinct grassiness with herbal notes that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Semillon, the most widely planted white grape in Bordeaux, bring... • Chateau Argadens Bordeaux Blanc 2014

The Chateau D'argadens (blanc) 2014 is a wonderful expression of Bordeaux; the grassy (mown lawn) scent, and the muted gooseberry flavors on the palate are elegant and show a bit of pedigree. For the price, the Sauvignon Blanc-dominated wine is very good; highly recommended if you can find it. Very clean - although the musky element of the fla... Read More

  • Mending Wall Stone On Stone Napa Valley 2014

Very pale, just-barely, yellow color. Herbal, grassy nose. Quite fruity on the tip of the tonguetable grapes, melon, pineapple, banana on the rear palatepretty much all over the place. Lots of tart acid gives a refreshing quality and, also, seems to give a spritzy sensation around the edges of the tongue. Read More
