    Snoothrank:

Quite dark in the glass. Kind of a sweet wood nose. Very easy on the fruit on introduction to the palate. Its easy to see that this one has a few years on it. While I say it is easy on the fruit, there is detectable fruity sweetness around the edges of the tongue. Tannins have been tamed, but are apparent. Good acid. Something of black t... Read More

  • Badenhorst Secateurs Red Blend 2011

    Snoothrank:

Tight and focused on the nose with a smoky top note and lots of sour red fruits framed with hints of sweet green spices and perhaps a hint of banana and band aid on the nose. With a very attractive blend of lightness and richness on the palate, this delivers a lovely textured wine, supported by integrated acids and rounded soft tannins. the frui... Read More
