Increasingly popular in the Central Coast of California for blending purposes and as a varietal, Roussanne is a trendy, white Rhône grape. A bright, light bodied, balanced wine. Notes of apple, meyer lemon, pear, nectarine. More fresh fruit than plush soft tropical flavours here. Lots of well balanced, soft, mouth watering acidity. Medium bodied. Medium finish. Apparently this does get some oak treatment/aging on the lees, but I don't get any oaky notes from drinking this one. This... Read More

This "entry level" white Cotes-du-Rhone from a well-known Gigondas producer ... nose and tisane-like notes (Roussanne) on the palate along with sweet pear. There is a youthful stem acerbity, but some cellaring may offset this feature of the wine. Very impressive for the price! 88 point Read More

  • Hi all!Hoping to wade into interesting wine talk (and food talk).  Me, I've been seriously enjoying and exploring wine for just over 20 years. On the red side, right now I'm partial to wines from Spain and the Rhone valley, but other loves are Oregon pinots, really good Italian wines (yes, it's endless, but that's the fun), and wanting to try mu...
