Ribolla Gialla on Snooth

  • Radikon Ribolla Gialla Collio 2001

    Snoothrank:

A terpene note greets the nose followed by leather, heather, and spicy pomegranate seeds that cut through the notes of poached peach. Tannic, rich and matte in the mouth with spicy notes helping to frame the apricot notes. Not complex but long and tactile. 89pts Read More

  • Azienda Agricola Stanislao Radikon Collio Ribolla Gialla 1997

    Snoothrank:

This smells like ass with lovely subtle notes of anise and plum but still assy. Nice feel in the mouth to this spicy yet lean wine that lacks detail but is still lively and well fruited. 87pts Read More

  • Movia Ribolla Gialla 2007

    Snoothrank:

Waxy, leesy and woodsy on the nose, a bit monolithic and dull. Sweetly fruited in the mouth with a round soft feel and little follow through. 85pts Read More

  • Gravner Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT 2001

    Snoothrank:

Biscuity and yeasty on the nose with a touch of seaweed and a Vegemite like savoriness. In the mouth this has a taut, muscular texture that is very appealing with bright cutting acids and a sinewy edge to the rather subtle but balanced fruit ones. 89pts Read More

  • Gravner Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT 2001

Dense, intense and structured. This wine is built for some serious aging and needs decanting before it is consumed (not enough white wines are decanted). This wine represents the pinnacle of serious whites. Read More

  • Bazzini Nero D' Avola 2006

    Snoothrank:

This wine offers an abundance of fruit and has distinct overtones of oak and spices. It should be enjoyed with Sicilian regional specialties including eggplant, lamb dishes and pasta with robust tomato sauces. Great with Spaghetti al la Putanesca or arrosticini (lamb or beef kabobs). The liter bottle makes this Nero D'avola an excepyional value. Read More
