  • You know the scene. He walks into the wine bar, orders a glass of Macon ... ... ... for the whites and Pinot Noir for the reds but, when it comes to the appellations, (the names and pecking order of the wines), things aren't so straightforward. Mind you, it's certainly not as complicated as many would have us believe.Travelling south along th... Read More

Spicy cinnamon and vanilla bean aromas with chocolate cherry and mineral earth. Loads of dark berry flavors with cherry, fizzy cola and fresh spice - berry approachable and pleasant with a creamy texture to the finish and assertive but gentle tannins. Very nice. Read More

  • Rockr - There are a lot of those sugar shack wineries in Ohio, Indiana, ... I ... I think they grow their own Pinot Noir, Cab, etc. But they're not going to sell to the people who buy Napa Cab or Sonoma Syrah, much less Bordeaux or Barolo - they're suggesting the wines be used in spritzers, mixers, etc. And they add fruit flavors and juices. • Discovery Point Pinot Noir Martinborough 2014

    Snoothrank:

Candied cherry and floral berry aromas with a note of cola. Easy drinking and juicy on the palate, initially full fruited with cherry, blueberry and cranberry, this shows a bit more acidity and earth on the mid palate that develops into a finish of tart red fruit and pleasant loamy, dusty earth.
