Jose Maria da Fonseca Periquita 2005
Snoothrank:
Always looking for a drinkable red under $10. We enjoy what I call "Old European style" wines - to find them, we look for old-fashioned labels, with no animals pictured on them. This filled the bill, and I would definitely buy it again. On the lighter side, fruity, not too much... Read more

Periquita Tinto Vinho Terras Do Sado Tinto NV
Snoothrank:

berry-led, full, rounded, smooth tannins and long, long inky finish. Delicious ... the grape mix: Castelão (Periquita), Camarate, Tinta Miuda and Touriga Nacional. Perfect for a mid-week slurp. http://www.spittoon.biz/dont_judge_a_bottle_by_its_lab.htm Read more

May 2009
Jose Maria da Fonseca Periquita 2003
Snoothrank:
Appearance: Dark red, not quite ruby, with a red disc. Tears are medium thickness and not quite close to each other, though they form fast. Smell: Animal, leather. Blueberries. Oak. Hint of chocolate. Taste: A little astringent, a little acidity. You can taste the blueberries. It... Read more
