  • Chateau d'Agassac Medoc 2016

    Snoothrank:

The 2016 d'Agassac is from a recently invigorated property near Ludon with a ... or less 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot, and the nose is of spicy cherry cola and vanilla. Colour is opaque red, and entry is fruit-forward (although not Parkeresque) with a light frame or structure and a lot of light tannin, cherry, cola and perhaps cassis with ceda... Read More

  • Provenance Napa Valley Merlot 2017

    Snoothrank:

Nice full-bodied example from this grape. A viscous, syrupy mouthfeel--do not confuse my "syrupy" comment to imply sweetness, though. Dark berry fruit on entry--blackberry, blueberry. Some dustiness, mid-palate. As expected, quite light on tannin. Pretty short finish. For $15, though, a heck of a cellar defender. Read More
