Congrats on the Cuvaison find. Good tasting note, too. Will be interested to ... about how some Duckhorn merlots from the '80s will be when I open them before too long...
Particularly good with chili infused dark chocolate.
From Sicily. This is my house red. On the nose, baking spices and pomegranate, and on the palate, dark berry and cherry fruit with a little bit of acidity peeking through. A very accessible, enjoyable wine. $13.
Full bodied, complex and velvety. Fruity and slightly earthy. Opens up very quickly. It was great with a well aged ribeye and I suspect it would be excellent with veal or any number of fine Italian meals.
Was very surprised by this wine, smooth, balanced, great everyday wine!
TT 2007 is a very pleasant soft wine. Very balanced tannins, soft chocolate and berry aromas on the nose. Pleasant taste with no strong aftertaste.
OK, maybe I'm getting a little carried away with my experimentation. This ... good match for the cabernet/merlot blend. Next time I'm thinking of trying it with some garnachas or tempranillos.... D9sus4, I don't have...
