Read moreThis offers up a lovely nose of well-integrated hints of nettles, herbs, and earth adding complexity to the pineapple and grapefruit tones. Rich and slightly viscous in the mouth yet the acids offer great cut keeping everything in balance. The palate is full of grapefruit and orange toned fruit with a touch of mineral cut and sweet, floral inner mouth perfume. This has good length and comes off as a slightly structured, rigid style of Sauvignon Blanc at this youthful stage. 90pts    (hide)

Read moreAn interesting wine, a white port ~ the tasting notes describe it as a “rare example of this Portuguese inspired classic wine.” It has a beautiful nose - rich and deep, with lovely soft notes of pear. In the mouth, the wine is smooth with soft notes of pear, and the brandy adds a richness and depth that would be lacking if this were just a fruit wine. Because it’s a white, the port is lighter than what one typically finds in a Port, but no less complex for that.    (hide)
