Limberger on Snooth
Earthy, gamey, licorice scent. Smooth. Licorice and toasty caramel with a tangy, long finish.
I did not like this wine when i was first introduced to it (i was also a new wino). However i do enjoy this wine now.
Thick and unctuous - there are layers of licorice, treacle and coffee. Well balanced by good acids, this is a good wine.
Some heat on the nose, this port is thinner than I'd hoped for (but it is a Tawny). Nicely rich and sweet, there's a very pleasing finish.
Or make a stinky risotto with Morbier, Edel de Cleron, French Muenster, and/or Limberger! ;-) Or durian. (runs and hides before Eric throws knives at me)
The fresh citrus-like bouquet has lemon and honey complexities. On the palate, the feel of the wine is refreshing and clean. It is medium-bodied, a wine of good balance and gentle nuances.
