Gewürtztraminer

Name of varietal: Gewürztraminer

Common synonyms: Traminer Musque, Traminer Parfume, Traminer Aromatique, Roter Traminer, Traminer Rose, Traminer Rosso, Termener Aromatico

Parentage of the grape: Traminer, possibly Muscat

Gewürtztraminer on Snooth

  • Australia does some great whites period, whether or not they're ... a ... a blend of Muscat, Semillon, Gewurtztraminer, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay - one of the more unusual blends I've ever had, slightly bitter and somehow has cheesy notes? Weird wine but give them some credit for effort. From Tasmania, probably the coolest region in Australia, ... Read More

The palate is medium-sweet with balanced fresh acidity and clear flavors of grass, melons and honeysuckle with a long finish of citrus and perhaps a hint of butter. I really liked this wine; it is well-balance... Read More
