Bual on Snooth

November 2009

Incredibly rare and amazingly complex, this gem of still shows its complete spectrum of candied citrus, pancakes and light syrup, roasted walnuts, and a mineral driven finish. Simply astounding!

Barbeito Bual 1863

Starting at $549.98 Snoothrank: 4/5

Really beautiful Bual, probably one of my favorites. Toasted walnuts, hazelnuts, maple and light-roast coffee.

Henriques Henriques & Bual Madeira 10 Year Old NV

Starting at $20.68 Snoothrank: 4/5

Sweet but not cloying, tones of butterscotch and creme brulee with fine backbone acidity and a long finish. Great by itself or with cheese or nuts. We served it with classic flan. If there is any left over, it keeps on...

Rare Wine Company Madiera Bual Boston

Starting at $42.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

@GDP - Can I ask how you made the logical leap to Solera bottling? Why couldn't it be a 1900 Bual? @GS - As noted before on this thread by multiple people, this stuff is virtually immortal. If it's your first bottle of...

A question for the board. A bottle of 1900 Old Bual has been floating around my house since I was a kid. My father got it from someone, etc etc. The bottle/seal looks to be in relatively decent condition. Is anyone...

Vintage dated madeiras are fantastic but can be pricey. A nice 15 year old Bual is a good intro to the world of madeira and shouldn't be to expensive.
