  • Il Bastardo Sangiovese 2009

    Snoothrank:

We'll turn to my dinner in a moment, but for the wine tonight I picked out one ... time favorites, the 2009 Il Bastardo Rosso di Toscana, a lighter red wine from Tuscany which would pair very well with my dinner. Plus it has to have one of my favorite labels of all time, Il Bastardo himself, relaxing with a glass of his wine, oh how I can ide... Read More

    Snoothrank:

First of all, this is a full 750 ml bottle, not a half bottle. As someone whos not a huge port fan, my first reaction was its not bad. But after a few more sips, it really grew on me. • Conceito Bastardo 2009

    Snoothrank:

Light orangey-red colour in the glass. The nose is . unique! Notes of figs, over baked light red fruit with a touch of beach air in the background. On the palate you get a wash of light tannins combined with high alcohol, with red currants and strawberries in the background. It definitely awakens the senses and gives you that by the seaside feel... Read More

Orangey salmon and translucent. Very fragrant with a combination of flowers and fruit. Young strawberries, mint, lilac. Slighty fruity entrance with a bitter finish. Unable to make any pairing suggestions, perhaps a Portuguese wine lover may be able to help. Read More
