This is a great table wine for the price. The palate is not complicated and tastes of cherry and strawberry. Additionally, the label is pretty rad. Read our full review here: Read More

  • I am a new wine lover. A year or two ago I was having troubles staying away from 'the sauce'.  It wasn't alcoholism, per se, but it was getting to the point where I was spending much of my money and getting very little done. So, being that I am working in a fine dining restaurant, Carnevor Steakhouse in Milwaukee, WI, I decided to begin studying... Read More

  • Il Bastardo Sangiovese Toscana IGT 2011

Il Bastardo which I am not but I must review this wine. The label says rich, fat and luscious and I agree. It has a pungent earthy cassis aroma which fills the nostrils with ample taste promises. We'll turn to my dinner in a moment, but for the wine tonight I picked out one ... time favorites, the 2009 Il Bastardo Rosso di Toscana, a lighter red wine from Tuscany which would pair very well with my dinner.
