Aglianico on Snooth

  • Montevina Aglianico 2006

    Snoothrank:

Opening with a very spicy herbal note this gains a flinty, woody note that accents the clean blackberry and dark cherry fruit with a touch of salame and pencil eraser underneath Rich and round with a sweet attack. Very well polished with fine tension between acid and tannin and a deep core of juicy fruit, very boysenberry/blackberry/black plum ... Read More

  • Terre Dei Pallavicini Cesanese 2006

    Snoothrank:

Very easy drinking everyday wine... reminicent of a fruity aglianico - slight aromas of briar and olive underneath a current of black raspberrieswith a slight salty and mineral scent on the nose. The pallette has light to medium bodied feel with medium acid and a surprising fruity quality. Not bad for the money. Read More

I have tended to drink lots of really earthy red wines, Cotes du Rhone, Gigondas, Tempranillo, Monastrell and the like. I love all of these... Read More
