We just finished our first wine tasting event down here in sunny Playa del Carmen.
Lot of fun and a lot of wine was had by all.
Read about it here:

Sounds like a pleasant Sunday afternoon, northerner. How warm was the weather for all those reds?
Haven't been to PdC for something like 8 years now, and back then it seemed the town was growing 1/3 to 1/2 every year. Didn't recognize large parts of it if I was away for a couple of years so must be quite different now. Back in the '90s afternoon tastings required only a roof, no walls, and a couple different beers but a halfdozen different tequilas, 100% agave, of course. Hell, maybe some mariachis if we wanted to get even more festive....

Glad you liked the post, dmcker!
Things haven't changed much down here from when you were here last. Well ... yes, they have, but still ...
Next time you're down this way, I totally recommend Cava Veinte 33. They know what they're doing. Check out our interview with Demian, the owner here: http://thesundaybottles.wordpress.com/2011/08/16/fifteen-questions-with-demian-fuentes-–-owner-and-operator-of-cava-veinte-33/
