I'm interested in hearing how it goes!  I don't know how nice the wines in the Philippines are, but I know that the wine in Vietnam is...shall we say....not so good.  Please post some pictures and tasting experiences on this forum so we can all learn more.

Hi Sparkle!

We are looking for wine distributors  and events/fairs in the Philippines. Our wines are from Italy. We are very much interested to join on your next tasting event. Here's my email pamacalinao@yahoo.com .

Hi Big Al! Sorry for the so late reply.

The wines were from Piedmont Italy. It was a free day event with 12 bottles of wine from Piedmont Italy.

I will be organizing another wine tasting event this year 2016. I hope it will be a bash!

I also intend to organize a Filipino wine tasting dinner here in Turin but it would be difficult to satisfy the palate of Europeans that are used to drinking Barolo and Barbaresco. I would just call it an ethnic wine dinner to prepare them to drink mango or plum wine :)

Wow, Sparkle, that was a bit of a delay on the reply! But glad to see you back here.

Would be *very* interested to hear some details, ideally with pictures and tasting notes, of your 'ethnic wine dinner' in the Piedmont! Am prepared to enjoy hearing how local wine connoisseurs respond!

How are Italian wine sales in the Philippines?

Hi Dmcker! My research dates back on 2013 I am not sure how it changed but back then 7% of imported wines in the Philippines are from Italy. I think its a good start. Wine market in China is already saturated, european investors are now looking for a new setting with less competition.

Could you recommend me the best wine app? I have been tasting "best wines" in Italy but I abandoned making notes. Is it bad to make wine notes during formal events?
