Wine Bottle Photos

Posted by ryanopaz, Jun 18, 2008.

I love photography. But I find sometimes when shooting bottle photos for clients I have a tough time getting some of the odd shapes to work in the square format. That said, I do like some of the shots I've taken as of late....So do you have a favorite wine bottle shot? Let's start a photo sharing thread...Here's mine:

Great bottle shot -- how do you avoid glare? I assume - natural light and a tripod, or maybe very stable hands. Nice photo!

50mm 1.8 I believe I was using, in a room with flourescents...steady hand and some B&W post processing...thanks!

Wow, sorry Ryan - i'm totally useless at this. I can tell you that i like WineQ's photos and WineMessenger's zoom feature (http://www.winemessenger.com/wine/M...) but i dont see too many artistic bottle shots.

Yours however is very well taken.

That's a great photo. I also am unable to contribute here -- well, maybe I'll give it a shot (ha) over the weekend... I suspect my little point and shoot, unsteady hand, and lack of any eye for photography are going to make a wonderful combination.
