Hi my name's Joe, I've posted a few times now so thought I should introduce myself

I work for an organic wine company in the UK http://www.vintageroots.co.uk which I manage the website and do a bit of photography for. I've vistied a few of the vineyards we import wine from and even worked on a harvest for a week in Penedes on the Albet i Noya estate.

Still getting to grips with the whole "Snooth" thing so be nice to me.

(here a few of my snaps)

The last one is a preying mantis? We're having a debate over that in the office at the moment.

Were was it taken?

Thanks for sharing. i look forward to seeing more, especially as the harvest gets going. Visiting any vineyards this season? Perhaps even those in England!

Philip, are you thinking of penitent bugs, the mantis religiosa, or fixating more on the females taking the heads off the males after copulation? ;-)

Joe, great snaps. Would love to see any more you care to share!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.

I'm hoping to get down to Davernport vineyards http://www.davenportvineyards.co.uk when they have their harvest to get some more photos.

My ideal job would be just taking photos for the wine industry, vineyards, product shots etc. I just have to make do with what I can get at the moment.

Philip, that shot of the praying mantis was taken whilst I was doing my harvest in Penedes, they call them 'dragons' over there.
