Wild New Search Engine

Despite having ripped off Apple's interface it's an amazing implementation. I'm impressed, and love seeing Snooth come up in the SERPs!

Oh yeah ... there is also a Snooth Wikipedia page:

Thats a nice looking search engine, but its one of those businesses thats built on foundations made of sand, as soon as apple send them a cease and desist they will fold. The larger companies are very strange with what they allow and what they dont. I was reading that Zillow, the huge house pricing site, had its google maps access turned off by google one night, and until they negotiated a fee based arrangement they had to run without maps, which considering that was all their site offered, must have been painful.

I think we should spend some times editing that Snooth page on Wikipedia.

Google is now talking about smart image searching. Most image search today actually just searches image tags / titles, but Google is talking about images that actually LOOK like each other:

This has been tried a lot in the past 2 years: iLike and Riya both spent $20 million then gave up, so its not going to be easy...

Damir: I think there are some more objective statistics that could go onto Wikipedia about our site, although it would be better if we have our own page displaying the same statistics as a citation. Some of our numbers are impressive!

Philip: Apple will certainly do that. They don't let people use apples in their logos, and they're even going against NYC for its green initiative that used a "strikingly" similar logo. Actually, it looks like Apple won. Justice is served!

So, Google shut off its Maps in the middle of the night, no written notice? That doesn't seem likely :)

Page in About us - Factbook, "Snooth in Numbers", or something like that?
