Which way do I go?

Posted by Tbandcwfjourney, Dec 17, 2013.

The dilemma is store in Chicago has a 2000 Welschriesling TBA No. 4, Zwischen den Seen, Alois Kracher, wouldn't that be fun for my candy loving husband.  But weather isn't great back east and I would have to order no later than tomorrow and you have the over the weekend shipping thing going on (see I paid attention to the SS shipping info).  But hey, it's grape syrup and sugar doesn't freeze so how bad could that be.  Somewhat local (an hours drive) has a Kracher Cuvee Beerenauslese 2006, Burgenland, Austria.  Not as fun, but hey at half the price I could buy two, drink one now the save the other for a decade.  Which way do I go?

My first vote would be to buy both.  Then you can compare and contrast.

In reality, I would probably just drive for an hour and buy the Beerenauslese.  First of all I'm a cheap skate, and second of all there are much fewer "moving parts" with that option.  There are more things that can go wrong with the first option.

Keep us advised.
